Catawba Man Charged With Stolen Goods Offenses, Indicted On False Pretense Count

45-year-old Richard Patrick Connor of Edna Street in Catawba was arrested Wednesday (June 15) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with two felony counts of possession of stolen goods or property. Connor is also charged on a bill of indictment with felony obtaining property by false pretense and failure to appear on a count of felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle. Connor was detained in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $60,000 bond. District and Superior Court appearances were scheduled today (June 16) and a Superior Court date is also set for August 1.
