According to a news release from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, due to an earlier collision, NC 16 at Buffalo Shoals Road is shut down. DOT has set up a detour, but motorists are urged to avoid this area. The road should was expected to be opened back up by approximately8 a.m. today (November 17).
