A number of Catawba County government offices and facilities will be closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 29.

Catawba County Government offices will be closed and will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30. All Catawba County Library System branches (Newton, Claremont, Conover, Maiden, Sherrills Ford-Terrell, Southwest, and St. Stephens) will be closed Monday and will reopen following their usual schedules.

The Catawba County Park System (Bakers Mountain Park, Mountain Creek Park, Riverbend Park and St. Stephens Park) will be open on Memorial Day Monday. The Blackburn Sanitary Landfill and Blackburn Solid Waste & Recycling Convenience Center will be open following their usual hours. All other convenience centers (Bethany Church Road, Cooksville, Oxford and Sherrills Ford) are closed on Mondays. The Catawba County Animal Shelter is also closed on Mondays.
