59-year-old Larry Edward McCurdy of Catawba was arrested Tuesday (August 1) by Taylorsville Police Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon along with misdemeanor counts of carrying a concealed gun and resisting a public officer. McCurdy was arrested following a traffic stop Tuesday and placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $40,000. He remained in jail as of earlier today (August 4). A District Court date is scheduled next Monday (August 7).
