A 22-year-old Conover man is being held in the Caldwell County Detention Center after being charged with attempted murder.

According to jail records, Noah Lee Groover of Brandywine Drive was arrested Sunday (June 14) and booked into the Caldwell County Detention Center at approximately 3:00 p.m. Records show Groover is charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The charge was filed by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office. Groover is being held under a $1 million secured bond. No additional information regarding the circumstances of the alleged offense had been released as of Sunday afternoon. Groover remained in custody awaiting his next court appearance Monday (June 15).
