Catawba County Man Charged With Assault, Probation Violations, In Alexander County

39-year-old Brandon Phillip Partin of Claremont, was arrested by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with assault on a female along with felony and misdemeanor counts of probation violations.

Partin was arrested Thursday (April 11) and brought to the Alexander County Detention Center. He’s on probation as a result of a conviction in Catawba County on February 5, 2024 for felony possession of a firearm by a felon. Partin received probation and a 30 month suspended sentence.

According to the North Carolina Department Of Adult Correction Offender Public Information website, Partin has multiple prior convictions listed, all in Catawba County. The cases date back to April, 2005. The charges include felony counts of breaking & entering, larceny, and possession of schedule II controlled substance.

Partin was incarcerated in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (April 16). A Superior Court date is set for April 22, a District Court appearance is set for June 3.
