There will be a car show Saturday (June 18) in Catawba County to benefit Project Lifesaver. The event, sponsored by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, runs from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for spectators at the Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds in Newton. For venders and those showing cars the event runs from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. and the registration fee is $20.
The event is family friendly and there will be door prizes, food and drinks, and a live band among other activities. Project Lifesaver provides trackers for those suffering from Alzheimers, Autism, and Dementia. Should the individual with the tracker get lost, law enforcement can find them quickly.
