Car Crashes into Patio at Downtown Hickory Coffee Shop

Someone drove through the patio at Taste Full Beans coffee shop in downtown Hickory late last night (July 27), damaging tables, chairs, and umbrellas. The tables and chairs belong to the City of Hickory. Four umbrellas that were damaged belong to the coffee shop. No injuries were reported. Taste Full Beans, located at 29 2nd Street N.W., was open for business as usual by 7:30 this morning.

According to the Taste Full Beans Facebook page, an arrest has been made, a statement seconded by Hickory Mayor, Hank Guess. Video surveillance cameras reportedly captured the entire event. Hickory Police have not released a statement nor confirmed an arrest. Police say the incident is under review.
