Caldwell Women’s Basketball Drop Road Contest

Caldwell Community College women’s basketball team fell on the road in Bridges Arena to Spartanburg Methodist Friday, 89-52.

Mikayla Hill and Nikya Lynch each scored 11 points, with Lynch’s efforts coming off the bench. Paola Martinez socred nine, Amaja Mack had seven points while playing all 40 minutes, Akira Jenkins added five points and Kaitlyn Brock had three points for the Cobra starters.

Pasiko Gvichiani had four points and Amiya Randles added two off the bench.

Jenkins led the team in rebounds with nine.

The loss drops the Cobras to 7-11 overall, 0-5 in Region X action. They will host Catawba Valley Community College on Tuesday.
