Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute softball’s Ashley Antonio named the National Junior College Athletics Association division softball player of the week for games played during the week of March 13-19.

In a doubleheader against Gaston College on March 14, Antonio hit .667 with two homeruns, a double, a four RBI. Caldwell won game one of the doubleheader 12-6 before falling in the second game 8-0. In limited action the season due to injuries, Antonio has recently returned to the lineup and has a total of six RBI while batting .294. The softball team is currently 14-12 on the season.
