Caldwell Softball Sweeps Sunday Doubleheader
The Caldwell Community College softball team swept a doubleheader from Patrick and Henry Community College Sunday, winning game one 6-3 and game two, 5-3.
In game one, with the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Caldwell took advantage of a Patrick & Henry throwing error that allowed three runs to score. Kenley Jackson then homered to cap a four-run inning. Isabelle Curry got the win in the circle, striking out 11.
In game two, Regan Winkler hit a two RBI double in the bottom of the first inning and Ashley Antonio and Kenley Jackson hit back-to-back homeruns in the bottom of the third inning as Caldwell completed the sweep versus Patrick & Henry.
The win improves Caldwell to 24-16 overall, 6-2 in Region 10, Division 3 play. The Cobras will travel to Camp Community College on Friday for a doubleheader.
