Caldwell Men’s Basketball Defeats Spartanburg Methodist

The Caldwell Community College men basketball team edged out Spartanburg Methodist, 76-72 Wednesday night at home.

Shawn Nelson led the Cobras with 17 points. Jalen Crowder, the reigning Region Player of the Week added 15. Amari Thomas would scored 12 points and Jordan Stinson chipped in 10.

Other scorers for the Cobras were Myles Hamilton with seven, Amarie Elijah-Kirby with six, Justin Hodges had four points, Jheison Saunds added three and Tyree Gwinn had two points.

Caldwell improves to 7-2 overall, 4-2 in Region 10 Div. 1 play. The Cobras face Spartanburg Methodist again next, this time on the road Wednesday, March 10 at 7pm.
