Caldwell Community College Volleyball Sweeps Central Carolina

Caldwell Community College & Technical Insititute won their eleventh match of the season and the first in Region 10 Division 3 play, defeating Central Carolina Community College in straight sets Tuesday night in Sanford, NC. Set scores were 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

The Cobras were led in kills by Laney Craig with 14 and Catherine Pate with 9. Emma Grace Hiatt had a team high 16 assists followed by Josie Chappell with 12.

Defensively, Caldwell’s Emily Ramirez had 12 digs while Carissa Potter had nine.

Caldwell improves to 13-2 overall, 1-0 in Region 10 Division 3 play.

The Cobras, ranked 13th in this week’s NJCAA Division 3 poll, will host fifth ranked Sandhills Community College on Friday at 4:00PM. Admission is $5.00; CCC&TI faculty/staff and students will be admitted free with college ID and Senior Tar Heel passes will be accepted.
