Caldwell Community College Volleyball Seeded Seventh for Upcoming National Tournament

The Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute volleyball team will be the seventh overall seed in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Volleyball National Tournament and will face tenth seeded Dallas College-Brookhaven in the tournament’s opening round on Thursday, November 9 at 12PM (EST) at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse Arena in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Caldwell (21-5) earned their way into the tournament as an automatic qualifier by winning the NJCAA Mid-Atlantic District Championship. Dallas College-Brookhaven (13-15) earned an at-large bid. Despite a losing record, the Bears closed the season strong after finishing third in last season’s national tournament.

The winner between Caldwell and Dallas College-Brookhaven will face the winner of two seed Owens (17-10) against fifteenth seed Raritan Valley (29-4) on Thursday at 6:30PM (EST). The losers would play in the consolation bracket at 11AM (EST) on Friday, November 10.

The NJCAA Division III Volleyball National Tournament will run November 9-11. 16 teams made the tournament field: 12 automatic qualifiers from district tournaments and four at-large bids. The tournament is consolation-elimination format, with each team guaranteed to play at least two matches. All matches will be best three out of five sets.

Dallas-Eastfield (30-0) earned the overall top-seed for the tournament.
