Caldwell Community College Volleyball Picks Up Two More Wins

The Caldwell Community College volleyball team won both games of a tri-meet hosted by the Cobas on Saturday. The Cobras swept Southwest Virginia Community College, 3-0 before defeating USC-Lancaster, 3-1.

In the 3-0 win over Southwest Virginia Community College, Catherine Pate led the Cobras with 14 kills and Josie Chappell had 24 assists.  Defensively, Leah Pimentel had six block assists, Greenleigh Grayson had five block assists, and Emily Ramirez had 13 digs.

In the 3-1 win over USC-Lancaster, Laney Craig led the Cobras with 19, while Catherine Pate totaled nine followed by Greenleigh Grayson’s eight.  Two Cobras were in double digits in assists; Josie Chappell had 20 and Emma Grace Hiatt had 16.  Emily Ramirez had 23 digs and Pate added 10 digs.
Caldwell improves to 9-2 on the season. The Cobras travel to Guilford Tech for a 6pm match on Tuesday, Sept. 5.  The Cobras return home against USC-Union on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6pm.
