Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute lost their first home match of the season, falling 3-1 to Region 10 Division II opponent Davidson-Davie Community College Tuesday night in Hudson.

Caldwell (16-4) were 8-0 at home entering Tuesday’s match. Davidson-Davie (17-5) avenged a 3-0 home loss to the Cobras from August 26 with the victory.

The Cobras won the first set 25-20 but fell in the next three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-14, 25-15.

Caldwell returns to Region 10 Division III play on Thursday when they travel to Patrick & Henry Community College. Match time is set for 6PM in Martinsville. Caldwell won the first meeting between the two teams on September 19 by a score of 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-17).
