Caldwell Community College Softball Downs Cleveland CC

Caldwell Community College softball swept a doubleheader from Cleveland Community College, 6-3 and 15-7 Friday.

In game one, Jada Wilson picked up the win in the circle for the Cobras. She pitched seven innings, allowing six hits and three runs, but she struck out nine and walked none.

Jenna Davis and Brittney Reynolds each hit doubles for the Cobras with Davis picking up and RBI. Brianna Lewis hit a two run home run for Caldwell.

In game two, Brianna Lewis was the winning pitcher. In olny two innings of work, she did not allow a hit and struck out one.

Four players had doubles, two would have a triple and Wilson would hit a home run. Ashlyn Castle had both a double and a triple for the Cobras.

Castle and Talyor Moody each had three RBI.

The Cobras are 22-12 overall, 12-4 in Region X play. They will host Florence-Darlington Tech Tuesday.
