Caldwell Community College baseball dropped both games of a doubleheader on the road at Patrick Henry Community College Wednesday. The Cobras lost game one 4-1 and game two, 7-4.
In game one, Caldwell struck first with a run in the first inning. However, Patrick Herny would scored a run in the bottom half of the second and seal it with three runs in the third. Patrick Herny would only manage five hits in the contest.
In game two, the Cobras and Patrick Herny would each score a run in the first inning. However, single runs in the third and sixth inning and two runs each in the fourth and fifth inning saw the Cobras down 7-1. Caldwell would rally for three runs in the top of the seventh, but it was not enough for the Cobras to hand Patrick Henry thier first loss of the season.
The Cobras are 2-4 on the season. Caldwell will host USC-Lancaster in a double header on Saturday, March 6 starting at 2pm.
