Caldwell Community College Baseball Defeats Cleveland Community College

Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute baseball defeated Cleveland Community College 7-6 at home in Walker Stadium.

Darien Farley went two-for-four with two singles and a walk. Noah Love had a double and an RBI. Jermie Greene and Mason Lyda each collected an RBI for the Cobras. Lyda’s RBI came via a single in the bottom of the 7th with the game tied, which proved to be the game winner.

The Winning pitcher for Caldwell was Scout Nichols. He pitched 2.2 innings, allowed only one hit, no runs, striking out three while walking only one. Starter Will Westbrock got a no decision but went 5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 K, 4 BB.

The Cobras improve to 2-1 and are scheduled to host Combine Academy on Saturday for a double header starting at 1pm.
