Caldwell CC Baseball Wraps Up Weekend Sweep of Rockingham CC

The Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute baseball team blew out Rockingham Community College 16-1 on Saturday.

Hayden Setzer moved to 6-0 as a starting pitcher as the Cobras swept the three-game series, winning game three at Rockingham via the mercy rule. Setzer struck out eight, giving him 44 in ten appearances this this season. Setzer’s ERA stands at 2.66 after his Sunday outing.

At the plate, Breon Ishmeal led the Cobras with four RBI on the day, going three for four with three singles. Noah Love collected three RBI on the day, going three for four with a double and two singles. Kayle Ratliff also collected two RBI with a double.

Records: Caldwell improves to 37-7 on the season, 15-0 in Region 10 Division Three play. The Cobras have won 15 games in a row, and 33 out of their last 34 games. Caldwell travels to Spartanburg Methodist on Wednesday for a nine-inning game at 3PM.
