Caldwell CC Baseball Wins Rain Shortened Event

The Caldwell Community College baseball team won a 1-0, rain shortened contest at Rockingham Community College Saturday. The game was called after 7 innings due to rain/wet field conditions.

Will Westbrock pitched a shut-out in a rain-shortened 1-0 win over Rockingham on Saturday. Westbrock struck out seven while walking three and allowing only two hits through seven innings of work. Cole Hales had an RBI single to plate Hayden Setzer in the top of the fifth inning to give Caldwell their lone run of the game. Tyler Bradley went 2-3 with two doubles.

Caldwell won their sixth game in a row to improve to 11-6 overall. Caldwell’s game vs. Rockingham, scheduled for Sunday, March 28, was postponed due to wet field conditions and expected rain in the forecast. A make-up date will be announced later.
