56-year-old Tamera Lynn Powell of Fox Drive in Connelly Springs was arrested today (March 6) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. She’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance.

Powell was arrested shortly after 1:30 a.m. today on Interstate 40 at exit 119. She was incarcerated in the Burke County Jail under $10,000 secured bond. A District Court appearance was scheduled today in Morganton.
