MORGANTON, N.C. (WHKY) – The Burke County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a Hildebran man wanted on a felony charge.

53-year-old William Ernest Smith Jr. was added to the sheriff’s office Most Wanted list on August 14. Smith is wanted for felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle.

Authorities list Smith’s last known address as 3021 Bonnie Lane in Hildebran. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 828-438-5500 or by email at burkesheriff@burkenc.org.
