A woman who had been on the Burke County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted List has been arrested following a welfare check in Morganton.

According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a welfare check on July 1 at a property on Mount Home Church Road. When they arrived, they found 21-year-old Gabriel Mayline Boone hiding underneath an unoccupied truck.

Boone was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office, where she was served with Failure to Appear warrants on charges of felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Boone had been on the Burke County Most Wanted List since June 29. She was given a $25,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 27.
