35-year-old Justin Marion Cook of Woodlawn Drive in Connelly Springs was arrested Tuesday (May 23) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of probation violation.

Cook is on probation as a result of a conviction in Burke County on January 10, 2023 for felony obtaining property by false pretense. He received probation and a 12 month suspended sentence following the conviction.

Cook was arrested shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday and placed in jail in Morganton under $40,000 secured bond. He remained in jail as of earlier today (May 26). A District Court appearance is scheduled for June 8, A Superior Court date is June 12.
