42-year-old Dwayne Alan Smith of Baptist Camp Road in Connelly Springs was arrested Thursday (July 21) by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle.

Smith was arrested shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday at an address on Old N.C 18 in Connelly Springs. Following the arrest, bond was set at $10,000 secured. Smith is not currently listed as an inmate in Burke County. A District Court date was scheduled today (July 22).
