54-year-old Todd Spencer Davis of Lenoir Street in Morganton was arrested Monday (October 30) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He’s charged with felony assault on a law enforcement, probation or parole officer inflicting serious injury along with misdemeanor counts of resist, delay, or obstruct an officer and damage to personal property.

Shortly after 5 p.m. Monday a Public Safety Officer responded to an indecent exposure call on Lenoir Street in Morganton. When the Officer arrived at the scene they made contact with the suspect, Todd Spencer Davis. According to an incident report, the suspect allegedly struck the victim with a fist. Davis was taken into custody at the scene.

The suspect was brought to the Burke County Jail and incarcerated under $5,000 secured bond. Davis remained in jail as of earlier today (November 1) under that same bond amount. A District Court appearance is scheduled for November 17 in Morganton.
