22-year-old Emiya K-Ron Wooten of Morganton was arrested Tuesday (July 28) by Morganton Public Safety Officers. He’s charged with two felony counts of first-degree burglary, along with single felony counts of second-degree kidnapping and possession of stolen goods.
Investigators with the Morganton Department of Public Safety arrested Wooten Tuesday in connection to several burglaries that occurred in the area of Terrace Place. The crimes were committed between July 15 and July 26, 2020. Wooten was also charged in connection to burglaries committed prior to July 15. There are additional charges pending in this case.
Wooten was arrested shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at an address on Rand Street in Morganton. He was transported to the Burke County Jail where he was placed under a $100,000 secured bond. The suspect remained in jail as of earlier today (July 29). A District Court appearance is scheduled for Thursday (July 30).
