49-year-old Jon Bradley Williams of Knobs Landing in Connelly Springs was arrested by Burke County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance (methamphetamine).
Last Friday (January 26) Burke County Sheriff’s and Probation and Parole Officers were conducting a joint operation incorporating undercover and conspicuous patrol actions in the Hildebran and Icard communities. They responded after numerous citizen complaints about illegal activities in the area.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. Friday, officers saw Jon Bradley Williams operating a motor vehicle in the target area of the investigation. Investigators familiar with Williams knew he was operating a vehicle with a revoked license and was currently on probation. Officers initiated a traffic stop and contacted probation officers.
Williams was asked to exit the vehicle and a search was conducted. During the search, a clear crystalline substance was found in the area of Williams’ passenger seat. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine. Williams was arrested and charged.
Bond for Williams was set at $50,000 secured. He was not listed as an inmate in Burke County as of earlier today (January 31). His first court appearance was scheduled for this past Monday (January 29). No upcoming court dates were listed.
The Burke County Sheriff’s Office says this is the ninth felony investigation that Williams has been implicated in since January, 2023. The charges filed during that time include multiple drug counts, firearm offenses, and possession of stolen goods.
