Burke County Public Health was notified late yesterday of the 27th and 28th COVID-19-associated deaths in Burke County. Both individuals were in their 80s and they were both hospitalized. One is reported to have had underlying medical conditions. The other is reported to have died from COVID-19-related complications.
38 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed today (July 30) in Catawba County, increasing the total to 1,863, with 27 deaths. Hospitalizations increased to 20, three more than the Wednesday (July 29) update.
