Burke Board Of Education Votes For Remote & Virtual Learning Until Sept. 14

The Burke County Board of Education held a special called meeting today (July 27) to discuss the upcoming school year. The board voted to begin the school year with remote & virtual learning only. This would stay in effect until September 14, when it will be revisited. The school year begins August 17. The initial plan was in accordance with the state’s “Plan B”, a combination of remote & in-person learning.
