Burke Board Of Education Holds Special Meeting To Vote On Students Return To School

The Burke County Board of Education decided at a special meeting Thursday (February 4) that on Monday, February 22, PreK-5 elementary students will return to school buildings under Plan A with middle and high school students starting Plan B.

Under Plan A, elementary students will attend in-person learning 4 days a week, with Wednesdays as enrichment and remediation days.

Under Plan B, middle and high school students will return to in-person learning two days a week under an A-day, B-day schedule. A-days are Mondays and Thursdays and B-days are Tuesdays and Fridays.

Wednesdays will be enrichment/remediation days. The Burke Virtual Academy is an option for students wishing to remain in full remote learning.
