Michael Bumgarner and Cody DeMarmels each enjoyed two trips to Victory Lane Saturday night, sweeping a pair of divisions to headline another full night of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series competition at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Bumgarner completed a doubleheader by winning both the 100-lap Late Model feature and the 50-lap Leapfrog Lawncare Super Trucks race, while DeMarmels matched the feat with victories in the Renegades and Heritage Finance Street Stock divisions. Dexter Canipe III added another Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Model victory, and Kyle Siler claimed top honors in the Allison Legacy division.

The night’s marquee Late Model feature belonged to Bumgarner, who led the field across the finish line after 100 laps. Thomas Beane finished second, followed by Charlie Watson, Ryan Zima and Eloy Falcon. Christopher Martin Jr. placed sixth, while Kyle Campbell and Austin Harris completed the eight-car field.

Bumgarner returned later in the evening to complete his sweep in the Super Trucks division, holding off Josh Goble over 50 laps. Jacob Hayes finished third, Jesse Smith crossed the line fourth and Nate Morris rounded out the top five. Hunter Hatton, Dustin Little Jr. and JR Courage completed the finishing order.

DeMarmels also enjoyed a memorable evening. He captured the 25-lap Renegades feature ahead of Matthew Chambers, Jordan Cook, Steve Smart and Ethan Perdue before adding a second victory in the 30-lap Street Stock race. John Reynolds finished second in that event, with Marshall Sutton, Trey Buff and Steve Smart completing the top five.

In the Paramount Auto Group Limited Late Models, Dexter Canipe III continued his strong season with another feature victory after 60 laps. Carter McMurray finished second, followed by Jake Freeman, Don Carlton and Owen Wilson. Paityn Feyen, Toni Breidinger, Zach Bruenger, Mark Johnson and Gerardo Peralta completed the top 10.

Kyle Siler rounded out the night’s winners by taking the Allison Legacy feature. Weston Freeman finished second, Bobby Mares was third, Eric Miller fourth and Bryson McGee completed the top five. Chris Torrence, Riley Campbell, Andrew Gibson and Brian Miller also finished the race, while Logan Campbell did not start.

Hickory Motor Speedway returns to action Saturday, Aug. 1, with another full evening of NASCAR Local Racing Series competition.
