Browning’s Two-Under Par Leads App State Men’s Golf Team
Colin Browning compiled two even-par rounds around a 2-under 70 to post a 2-under total of 214 and tie for 33rd place as the top performer from App State Men’s Golf at the VCU Shootout.
The Mountaineers placed 15th with a 290-292-307—889 total as Liberty beat James Madison in a sudden-death playoff to capture team honors after both teams finished the 54-hole event at 33 under.
Rob Bergevin’s 3-under 69 in Round 2 served as the low round of the event for the Mountaineers. Bergevin, Herman Huus (opening-round 72) and Sverrir Haraldsson (second-round 72) tied for 63rd overall. Addison Beam opened the event with a 72, and Alex Martin shot a 74 in his first App State round.
