A Claremont man is facing several charges following his arrest by Hickory Police.

52-year-old Brian Blake Blackburn of Shady Valley Lane in Claremont was arrested on Saturday (June 20). Blackburn is charged with felony breaking and entering, first-degree trespass, resisting a public officer, and assault on a female. He is also being held on a parole violation.

Blackburn was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $12,000 secured bond. He was scheduled to make a first appearance in Newton District Court on June 23.
