Officials in Caldwell County report a Saturday (June 27) drowning.

Shortly after  4:00 p.m. Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies, Caldwell County EMS, and Collettsville Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a missing child along Wilson Creek at Brown Mountain Beach Road and Craig Creek Road.  

The 12-year-old boy was found in the water a short while later and passed away from his injuries at the scene.
