The conference also announced the indoor athletes to watch for all 13 respective programs. For LR, there were three athletes selected: Alexis Brown, Melody Jones and Holly Kone.

Brown, a sophomore from Mableton, Ga., has already secured a national championship through her first year with the program. In the 2023 Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, Brown registered a time of 23.26 in the 200-meter dash to take first place in the biggest stage.

In addition to her postings on the track, Brown was the 2023 SAC Indoor Track and Field Freshman of the Year and was named the 2023 USTFCCCA Southeast Region Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year.

Jones, a junior from Chicago, Ill., was the 2023 SAC Indoor Championships Women’s Outstanding Track Athlete of the Meet. She was also named to the 2023 USTFCCCA Division II All-Southeast Region Indoor Team for her accomplishments in the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles.

In the 2023 Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, Jones recorded her personal-best time of 8.43 in the 60-meter hurdles. In the 2023 SAC Indoor Championships, Jones registered her personal best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.54.
