Bethlehem Man Charged With Having Drugs At Jail

65-year-old Tony Ray Bolick of the Bethlehem community of Alexander County was arrested Wednesday (December 13) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with possession of controlled substance on jail premises and failure to appear.

Bolick was served the failure to appear warrant for allegedly missing a court date scheduled to answer to charges of assaulting a law enforcement officer, two counts of resisting arrest and simple assault. At the time of the arrest in May, Deputies had to deploy a taser.

When Bolick was being processed at the Alexander County Detention Center he was found to be in possession of marijuana and was charged with possession of controlled substance on jail premises. Bolick was not listed as an inmate in Alexander County as of earlier today (December 15). He has a court appearance scheduled Monday (December 18).
