Beams were set for a new pedestrian bridge this past weekend in Hickory. Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation closed U.S. 321 between Clement Boulevard and 15th Avenue NW. The closure took place from 9 p.m. Saturday (January 14) until early Sunday morning (January 15) so that crews could set the beams in place.
