25-year-old Michael Gold Austin of Rominger Road in Banner Elk was arrested Sunday (August 6) by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He was charged with one felony count of failure to appear on a felony and jailed under $20,000 secured bond. Austin remains in jail as of this morning (August 7) with a Superior Court date scheduled for September 11.
