Authorities Seeking Assistance In Finding Man Reported Missing Following Crash

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man. 36-year-old Jacob Matthew Lockman of Orchard Road in Iron Station was reported missing by his father on Monday (February 19).

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol was dispatched to Keever Dairy Farm Road around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday (February 18) to investigate a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle crashed into a bridge and when law enforcement officers arrived on the scene the occupant or occupants of the vehicle could not be located. Lockman is believed to have been the driver of the vehicle.

Family members say they have not heard from Lockman since the accident. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and there is concern Lockman may be injured. Lockman is described as a white male, six feet tall and weighing around 180 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
