20-year-old William Anthony Starnes of Stony Point was arrested Monday (October 9) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He is charged on a fugitive warrant from Polk County, Georgia. Starnes is wanted in that jurisdiction on a charge of rape. Following the arrest, Starnes was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center. He was later transferred to Georgia.
