App State volleyball head coach Sarah Rumely Noble has announced the 2022 volleyball schedule on Friday. The fall will feature one home tournament and eight home conference clashes. Season ticket information will be coming soon.
The Mountaineers will kick off the season with the Charleston Southern Tournament on Aug. 26-27 in Charleston, S.C., where they will clash with Cal Baptist, Charleston Southern, and St. John’s. The Black and Gold will trek back to South Carolina, this time stopping in Spartanburg for the Wofford Tournament on Sept. 2-3 to clash with USC Upstate, Wofford, and Eastern Kentucky.
Returning to Boone, App State will host the Mountaineer Classic on Sept. 9-10, and will welcome Texas A&M Commerce, Furman, and Presbyterian.
App State will appear in the Hokie Classic, hosted by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. on Sept. 15-16, before opening Sun Belt Conference play. Joining App State in Blacksburg will be Western Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Norfolk State.
The Mountaineers will clash with new Sun Belt member James Madison on Sept. 23-24 in Harrisonburg, Va. before returning to Boone to host Coastal Carolina on Sept. 29-30. A four-match road stretch will see the Black and Gold make stops at Georgia State (Oct. 6-7) and ULM (Oct. 14-15).
Playing hosts once again, the Mountaineers will welcome another new Sun Belt contender, Marshall, to Holmes Convocation Center on Oct. 21-22 before they travel to Old Dominion’s realm in Norfolk, Va. on Oct. 28-29.
The Mountaineers will close out the regular season with a four-match homestretch, where they will clash with Georgia Southern (Nov. 4-5) and Louisiana (Nov. 11-12).
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 16-20 in Foley, Ala.
