Appalachian State Volleyball Adds Brock to Staff

App State volleyball head coach Sarah Rumely Noble announced the addition of Brooklynn Brock as the director of volleyball operations and assistant coach on Wednesday.

“We are so excited to add Brooklynn to our program,” Rumely Noble said. “She is a great role model for our student-athletes and her joy and energy is contagious.”

In her role with the Mountaineers, Brock will assist with the day to day operations of the program including Data Volley, team travel, and team meals.

Brock comes to App State after two summers interning at LSU with the director of volleyball operations in addition to four years of playing experience as a setter on the Truett McConnell and Toccoa Falls volleyball teams.

During her junior and senior seasons at Truett McConnell, Brock appeared in 46 matches and 157 sets. She totaled 1,157 assists, 965 of which she made during the 2022 campaign. During her career with the Bears, she recorded 37 kills and 27 aces. On defense, she recorded 315 career digs and 30 career blocks (four solo, 26 assists).

Brock spent her first two years of her collegiate career at Toccoa Falls, where she started as a setter.

Before working on the administrative side of club volleyball, Brock coached club teams in Louisiana and Georgia for a total of six seasons.

Brock hails from Baton Rouge, La. and is the daughter of LSU’s beach volleyball head coach, Russell Brock.
