Appalachian State Men’s Golf Compete at J.T. Poston Invitational
Addison Beam and Herman Huus posted top-15 finishes to lead App State Men’s Golf to a 10th-place showing among 16 teams at the J.T. Poston Invitational on Tuesday.
Beam, the tournament co-leader after 18 of 54 holes thanks to a 6-under 65 on Monday morning, tied for sixth with a 5-under total (65-69-74—208). He stood at 10 under through 28 holes.
Huus played his first 16 holes of the final round at 5 under before closing with a 68 that contributed to a tie for 14th place via a 4-under total (70-71-68—209).
Colin Browning also posted a top-40 finish, closing with a 1-under 70 and tying for 36th with a 2-over total (73-72-70—215).
True freshmen Rob Bergevin (76-79-78—233) and Jack Seward (82-84-75—241) also competed for the Mountaineers.
Drexel won the team championship with a 13-under total, and ETSU individual Remi Cartier was the medalist with a 14-under total (65-69-65—199).
