Appalachian State Men’s Cross Country Competes at Royals Challenge

The App State men’s cross country team capped competition at the Royals Cross Country Challenge, hosted by Queens in Charlotte, on Friday.

Senior Ben Datte was the first Mountaineer to cross the finish line with an 8K time of 25:47.08, finishing 47th individually. Sophomore Tucker Sangster clocked a time of 25:59.04 to finish 55th. Clocking a time of 26:17.39, graduate student Jonah Morris rounded out the top-75. Junior Jackson Nichols stopped the clock at 27:29.00.

The App State women’s cross country team will head to Spartanburg, S.C. for the USC – Upstate Invitational on Oct. 14. The men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Sun Belt Championships on Oct. 28 in Foley, Ala.
