App State’s Winterhoff Repeats on All-Conference Team

App State sophomore Maya Winterhoff earned her second career Second-Team All-Sun Belt honor, the league announced Tuesday, ahead of the Sun Belt Volleyball Tournament.

Winterhoff, who had been a Second-Team All-SBC selection last fall in addition to the App State volleyball program’s first Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honor, has appeared in 103 sets and has tallied 224 kills as well as a team-high 118 blocks this fall. This season, Winterhoff led the Sun Belt and ranked nationally in the top-50 in the hitting percentage category (.374). The Charlottesville, Va. native also led the league and ranked among the top-50 nationally in total blocks. Winterhoff also ranks fifth in the conference for blocks per set, averaging 1.15. In league-only play, Winterhoff tallied 130 kills as well as 15 aces and 58 blocks.
