App State Volleyball to Host Community Event

App State volleyball head coach Sarah Rumely Noble has announced Boonebalaya, an event on August 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Booneshine Brewing Company. The event will bring the Boone community together for a night of activities, entertainment, and homemade jambalaya with the App State volleyball team.

“We are so excited to kick off volleyball season with Boonebalaya at Booneshine,” said Rumely Noble. “It will be an awesome night in Boone and we want to invite the whole Boone community to join us. Bring a friend, listen to great music, enjoy great food and meet our team.”

The Boone community will have the opportunity to meet the student-athletes and coaching staff from the volleyball team. Yard games will be available to play and the night’s entertainment will include a live band. Tickets are $20 per person and $25 per person including two drink tickets. Funds will benefit the App State volleyball team.

The Mountaineers are set for the 2023 season and will host two tournaments and eight conference matches at the Holmes Convocation Center. Season tickets are on sale now. The Mountaineers will kick off the fall campaign on Aug. 25 at 12:30 p.m. against William & Mary, as part of the Mountaineer Classic.

Fans and community members attending Boonebalaya will also receive a $5 off ticket voucher to a match of their choice at the Mountaineer Classic.
