TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (WHKY) — Job seekers will have an opportunity to connect with dozens of employers during the Alexander County Job Fair this Friday.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday, July 31, at the Alexander Senior Center in Taylorsville. The job fair is being presented by NCWorks Career Center and Alexander County Government.

Employers expected to attend include Alexander County Government, the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, the U.S. Postal Service and several manufacturing and staffing companies. Available positions include correctional officers, machine operators, material handlers, assemblers and rural mail carriers.

Officials say employment specialists will also be available to provide job search assistance, transportation resources and other employment support services.
