Alexander County Teen Arrested on Assault Charges
18-year-old Noah Lee Groover of Taylorsville was arrested by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers last Thursday (May 18) on charges of assault on a female, assault by pointing a gun, vandalism with damage to real property, and resisting arrest. Groover was taken into custody after Alexander County Deputies responded to a domestic-related incident.
The suspect was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center where he was initially held without bond. A first appearance in District Court was scheduled yesterday (May 22) with another court date coming up on June 26.
Groover also faces several felony counts of breaking & entering a motor vehicle with an Alexander County Superior Court date set for July 17, and he has a pending charge of vandalism with damage to real property in Catawba County. In addition, Groover is awaiting trial in Mecklenburg County for felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serous injury. A Superior Court date in Charlotte was set for June 26.
